We decided to entice younger groups into a career in STEM by supporting them with their own projects. We wanted to find projects linked to ours, so we helped a group of three KS4 students take part in an ESA project called Astro Pi. They will look at the infrared data from the near infrared camera on the Astro Pi. This links to our project, so we can help mentor them with their programming and overall project design. They submitted their application and have been successfully accepted for the Astro Pi competition. We have been supporting them and training them on how to use raspberry pi and programming in python.
