Team and External Support

External support from other companies is crucial for our project to succeed as it is important to gain a good amount of money which will result in having better equipment and more opportunities for our CanSat to succeed. So far in our project we have contacted a variety of local companies asking of the opportunity to sponsor us and fund us. We have sent out sponsorship letters to companies informing them how our project works and our aims within the project.

We were also able to get a £150 kick-start fund from our school, however we will need to generate more funds by setting up cake sales and fundraisers at our school or in the local community.

We have been able to obtain an excellent mentor from MBDA Systems, Mr Tom Blenkarn, whose speciality is electrical engineering. He has regularly come in to support the team, which has a positive impact and enable us to a more rapid progress, which would not have been possible without him. .
